Started at Nam's house, decided to pick up David on a whim. He was in his bedroom and unready. Took awhile to convince him to come and get ready. While I was waiting I sipped on a shot of Martell Noblige and Nam did too. Next we headed to Churrrasco's but not before we had to turnaround because David forgot his wallet with his Id. In the car Nam and David learn a new word: Prima Donna
pri·ma don·na \ˌpri-mə-ˈdä-nə, ˌprē-\Primma Donna, 1.The term was used to designate the leading female singer in the opera company, the person to whom the prime roles would be given.
2.Tthe term often describes a vain, obnoxious and temperamental person who, although irritating, cannot be done without.
Originally used in opera companies, "prima donna" is Italian for "first lady".
That's what David is.
We arrived and there is no seat for David cause I fail to mention him to Cinnamon. A minor setback. David talks to Cathy most of the night. Her and Jerri are pretty much toast. People at Susan's birthday are Q, HangNghi,Vu, Amanda, Tram, Al, Mike,Linda, Jeff, and of course Jerri, Cathy, and Cinnamon. I drink some red wine that Nam thinks is disgusting. And we also drink some scotch that I think is nasty. In the end we go to the bar to get 3 Remy & cokes. One each for me, Nam, and Q. Total cost, 39 dollars plus a 5 dollar tip, OUCH! At ten we leave and begin to head to Montrose.
Originally we were suppose to meet Pretty out there, and pick Van up at The Tasting Room, but we decided it would be safer to just pick them both up. Pretty lives really close to me, and Van lives close to no one. We head out to Montrose and valet at etro, our first stop. Pretty recognizes a bartender there who hooks us up with a round of shots and a round of drinks. Which is really cool cause I got a shot of Remy with a Remy & coke. We tip him a twenty. We walk around, we buy another round and head next door to anvil. They have really weird exotic drinks here. Nam tries to order a Redbull vodka and a Capecod. The bar tender tells him they don't make those drinks here, this is a cocktail bar. Pretty orders something called Daisy, I tell her to get me a number 4, my favorite number. The bartender asks what's it called, its some really weird spelling. Pretty gets a lesson in how to pronounce Indian names. The native American kind. Apparently No.4 was named after one of the early Indians. Ain't one of the Thanksgiving one, cause I never heard of him. Needless to say all the drinks are nasty! One round and its across the street to Boondocks. It is crazy packed here, We get a round hangout for awhile. We do the fist pump, Randy and Tony meet up with us here, too. Its really packed so we head out to Poison Girl. Pretty uses Nam's line on girls, "How you doing?" and gets more attention and double takes in one night then Nam has in a lifetime. We find a place to sit and and Johnny orders 3 Crown and Cokes. At this point it gets fuzzy, but in a trade,I end up kissing Pretty's big toe for 3 seconds and Randy downs one of the drinks. Afterward we get our cars, and head to Hollywood and eat. There is a parking attendant that irritates me cause he tells me I can't park in the Hollywood parking when its clearly their parking lot. Then he wants 5 dollars for me to park on his side of the lot. Whatever! We find a parking spot after 2 tries and the parking attendant's approval. We eat and I take Pretty home, David drives Johnny's car back to his side, and I think Randy goes home. Van sleeps over at David's again, cause she lives too far.
The name of my drink is Algonquin, and its not a person but rather a tribe. They sided with the French in the French and Indian War.
